Transporting dogs to Australia
|Over the last 2 decades we have managed the relocation of hundreds of dogs (and other pets) to Australia and have many testimonials from very happy customers. We are fully aware of the concerns many owners have about such a major relocation and we will be happy to answer all your questions and take you through the dog shipping process. If you would like to know more about our services and how we operate, please do contact us and we'll do our best to assist you. If you decide to go ahead with transporting your pet then we can make all the necessary arrangements on your behalf including the required vaccinations and veterinary inspections.|
At this time, pets being shipped from rabies free countries such as Cyprus, Hawaii, Ireland, Japan, Malta, Norway, Singapore, Sweden, Taiwan and the UK are quarantined for just 10 days (as from February 2014).
Animals must be shipped in IATA approved transit kennels that allow the animal to stand up without touching the top of the box, lie down and turn around. It is a requirement that dogs are shipped as manifest cargo and not as excess baggage. There are only three Quarantine Kennels in Australia - based in Perth, Melbourne and Sydney - so animals must enter Australia at one of these airports. If you are unable to collect your pet(s), arrangements for movement of pets from these Kennels to other cities in Australia may be possible after the quarantine period but would have to be made in Australia. The kennels themselves will probably be able to help, as this is not an unusual request.
|It is always difficult leaving your pet in quarantine but they are well looked after and you can look forward to a very happy reunion after the 30 days are up. Although the quarantine can seem like a very long time, your dog will not forget you and once in your new home will quickly start exploring all the new territory smells of your Australian neighbourhood.|

One of our recent Australia dog relocation clients was kind enough to send us a note of thanks:
"I want you to know that I had no concerns re: Nev and buddy's welfare whilst under your care, non what so ever. . . It was just all the timing of the paperwork which has been a confusing maze from start to finish for us. I understand the Importance and relevance of it all and agree with it in principle but in practice . . . A nightmare compounded by the fact of distance and time difference. Was making contingency plans had the dogs not made the flight. . . Selling my soul to pay for it all again!!
Fred and I would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for everything you and your team have done in order to get them two out to Australia.
You have done a cracking job above and beyond. I certainly would recommend Airsupply to anyone that wanted their animals shipped out. Now just need to sort out their transport once they have done their 30 days quarantine.
Thank you again Lindsey for keeping us up to date and the reassurance and your honesty and care."
Kerry and Fred
